Zagi took the win in both solo and team tournaments at the first edition of the FOF in the last weekend of May.
Nearly 40 candy cabinets, some of them very rare, had all sorts of shmup, puzzle and fighting games.
8 French players travelled to Spain for the tournaments.

XSB to become the biggest ST tournament in Europe

With the absence of X-Mania Europe since 2014 and Stunfest in 2017 the guys from LaDose in Lyon have committed to organize the ST tournament that Europe deserves.

Everything is set up to become the new big European tournament of the game. 6 Japanese guests as well as many international players from USA, Canada, England, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and Morocco.

All the top legends from France will be present, both old school and new school and both from online and offline scenes. Max31, Balcork, Milanea, Zagi, Professor Jones and Er Commander to name a few.

Unfortunately, the available spots for the tournament sold out in barely two weeks, which is good and bad at the same time, but contact the organization in case you want to be added to the waiting list.

Dates: October 14 and 15
Place: Gamespirit at Lyon

2015 Review by UK and Australian Super Turbo Communities

Besides the well known ST communities in Japan, US and France there are also many other communities around the world working hard to make the game even more immortal.

The UK and Australian Super Turbo communities have looked back and reviewed what 2015 has been. Full of events and achievements. Here some excerpts:

It’s been a great year for ST, with a total of 35 tournaments throughout the year, reaching all around the UK with tournaments available in 15 cities including Dublin!
(…)
Next year is the 25th anniversary of Street Fighter II. We haven’t decided exactly what we will be doing or when, but we do intend to put on an event bigger and better than the IIX 20th Anniversary, so keep your eyes open for news on that.

Full UK community review and their youtube channel.

ST is proof that so long as players are willing to come out and support their favourite titles then any game has the potential to live on regardless of its age.

Full Australian community review.

Interview with Zero1

A few days ago, we announced that the Interview Section of the STR site is back up. Last year, we did an interview with Michael Power aka Zero1 from the UK, who is the face of Grand Master Challenge and runs all types of tournaments and events there. This is a great look into the European and UK scene so check it out!
