As the tradition goes, there is an ST event in Tokyo every year on December 31. This year it took place in the Gamespot Versus arcade for the first time (it used to be at Mikado).
The special part of this tournament is the Shogatsu Honda Kumite. Shogatsu is his nickname which in Japanese means New Year which in turn is his birthday.
